Step 1
Add
Rice Vinegar (1 Tbsp)
with
Granulated Sugar (1 Tbsp)
to the medium bowl and mix until sugar is dissolved.
Step 2
Slice
Small Cucumber (1)
on an angle into 1/4 inch thick slices and toss into pickling liquid; allow to pickle until plating.
Step 3
Place 2 slices of
Sourdough Bread (4 slices)
on a cutting board.
Step 4
Lay 2 slices of
American Cheese Slices (4)
on each slice of bread; overlapping to ensure bread is fully covered. Top with remaining bread slice; set aside.
Step 5
In a medium pan over medium heat, add
Unsalted Butter (2 Tbsp)
. Once the butter melts, add the sandwiches.
Step 6
Cook the sandwiches 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until the cheese is melted and the bread
is golden brown.
Step 7
Remove from heat and slice each sandwich diagonally.
Step 8
On two plates, plate the grilled cheese in the middle and place pickled cucumbers on the side. Serve and enjoy!
