Chicken Adobo is a Filipino classic that has been dubbed the unofficial dish of the Philippines. A simple blend of soy sauce, garlic, vinegar with bay leaves and whole peppercorns yields one of the most incredible sauces you have ever tasted.

Distilled White Vinegar
Prepare the sauce by combining Water (3/4 cup), Soy Sauce (1/4 cup), Distilled White Vinegar (2 Tbsp), and Granulated Sugar (1/2 Tbsp). Set aside.
Heat the Olive Oil (1 Tbsp) in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Add the Chicken Drumsticks (8 pieces) to the pan, searing both sides of the chicken until golden brown on the surface.
Add the Garlic (5 cloves), Bay Leaves (4), and Black Peppercorns (1 Tbsp) to the pan.
Stir in the sauce, then turn the heat down to low.
Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes or until the chicken has cooked all the way through, adding more water if necessary to keep the sauce simmering.
Serve with White Rice (to taste). Enjoy!
