Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

First off, cut the Puff Pastry (1) measuring it up with a 22-cm springform pan. You will need about a 1.5-cm edge. Cut it right in the center and keep the leftovers, we will use them for the filling. Cut them into 1-cm thick strips and store them in your fridge.

Next, move on to slicing the Apples (2). Make sure to get very thin slices that will not break when folded.

Lay the bottom of your springform pan with the puff pastry

Brush the bottom of the cake with a few tablespoons of Orange Jam (2 Tbsp). Start laying around the edges 2 rounds of sliced apples, then make one round with the puff pastry strips. Brush with more jam. Repeat until you reach the center.

Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Once the cake is cold, sprinkle the Granulated Sugar (1/4 cup) on top and bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) at the lower rack for 20 minutes.

Turn down the temperature to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C), move the cake up on the middle rack and keep baking for 10-12 more minutes.

Once it is nice and caramelized on top your pie is ready! Remove it from the oven and let it cool down completely. Last, sprinkle the top with some Powdered Confectioners Sugar (1 Tbsp), slice it, and serve it up!
