If you wish you can freeze them until ready to eat. Every time you want to enjoy some you can just take them out from the freezer and fry them up.

Take a slice of Ham Slices (4) and place a slice (or two) of Cheese (2 slices) on top, then another slice of ham on top of the cheese. The slices of ham and cheese should be the same size. Repeat to make as many sanjacobos as you want to make.

Put the All-Purpose Flour (as needed), Eggs (as needed), and Breadcrumbs (as needed) into three separate shallow bowls or plates.

Dip each sanjacobo in the flour, pat off any excess, then coat in the beaten egg and finally dip it in the breadcrumbs.

Fill a deep pan with a good amount of olive or sunflower oil. Once the oil is hot, fry them in small batches until golden brown on both sides, giving each sanjacobo at least 2-inches of space between them to avoid overcrowd and crumbling them.
