This freshly made jam with no pectin added, requires less work in the kitchen, and is quite easy to prepare. It was so delicious that my friends gave me a thumbs up for it. This apple jam is perfect on toast or crackers, and of course in bakes!

Cooking Instructions

Peel and core Red Apples (6 2/3 cups) and cut into cubes.

Place apple cubes into a large pot and add the zest and juice from Lemon (1), Apple Juice (8 oz), Granulated Sugar (1 cup), and Ground Cinnamon (1 tsp). Cook apple mixture for about 10 minutes over high heat.

Turn to medium heat and continue to boil for another 20 minutes until apples are translucent, soft and liquid reduced to half and thick. Stirring occasionally to prevent burning.

Lastly simmer at low heat for about 5-10 minutes and use a large spoon or wooden spoon to mash the apples.

Ladle hot jam into sterilized bottles and tightly sealed by inverting them to cool. Then place them in the refrigerator for at least 2 days before consuming. Serve and enjoy!
