How To Prepare Honey Mustard Marinade

In preparing the honey mustard marinade for this ribs recipe, you will only need a medium bowl, whisk, and the sauce ingredients. Combine all the ingredients and mix until thoroughly combined. Give it a quick taste before using it so you can adjust the flavor to your preference. You can also add chili powder, cayenne, or smoked paprika to add a smoky, spicy taste. Set the marinade aside until ready to use.

How To Cook BBQ Beef Ribs

After cleaning the beef short ribs, rub in the marinade sauce and massage it for a few minutes until the ribs are fully coated. You can do it straight to your baking dish lined with foil to lessen the clean-up. Cover the baking dish with another aluminum foil, creating a "foil boat.” This method will help slow cook the ribs and not over brown the crust while baking it in the oven. Bake them for about 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 400 degrees 4 (200 degrees F). After baking for 40 minutes, take it out and its foil cover, then brush it with the remaining marinade from earlier. Cooking Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Step 2
In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the Dijon Mustard (1/3 cup) , Honey (1/4 cup) , Hot Sauce (2 Tbsp) , Onion Powder (1 Tbsp) , Salt (1 tsp) , and Ground Black Pepper (1/2 tsp) .
Step 3
Pour ¾ cup of the marinade sauce over the Beef Short Ribs (3 lb) , and massage all sides.
Step 4
Wrap the rib in the foil. Place ribs on a wire rack in a roasting pan. Roast in the oven for about 40 minutes.
Step 5
Take the ribs out and remove the foil. Brush the ribs with the rest of the marinade. Cook for 10 more minutes.
Step 6
Remove the ribs from the oven and rest the ribs for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Step 7
Serve the ribs with the side dishes of your choice such as Salad Greens (3 cups) , Corn Cobs (2) , and Barbecue Sauce (1/4 cup) .
