Slice your Apples (5 cups). Leave peel on. Place in a large bowl.

In a small pot, combine your Butter (1/2 cup), Maple Syrup (2 Tbsp), Coconut Sugar (1/3 cup), Vanilla Extract (1 tsp), Simply Organic Cinnamon, Ground (2 tsp), and Ground Nutmeg (1 tsp). Bring to a soft boil and then reduce to low for 5 minutes. Just until it thickens or “caramelizes” a bit.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C).

Next, pour your caramelized sugar over your apples in a bowl. Mix thoroughly, and place apples and caramel in a large casserole dish. Spread out evenly.

Mix the Apple Juice (1/2 cup) and Apple Cider Vinegar (1 Tbsp) and then pour evenly on top. Sprinkle extra Coconut Sugar (to taste) on top if desired.

Place in the preheated oven 1 hour or 65 minutes. Mix apples half way through baking. Add Assorted Nuts (to taste) in last 15 minutes if you want to toast them with the bake.

Serve immediately and enjoy! If serving later, place in fridge and then warm in the oven when ready.
