Prepare the teriyaki sauce by combining
Water (1/2 cup)
Light Soy Sauce (3 Tbsp)
Honey (1 Tbsp)
Mirin (1 Tbsp)
Brown Sugar (2 Tbsp)
Corn Starch (1 1/2 Tbsp)
Sriracha (1/2 Tbsp)
Bring the sauce ingredients to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir or whisk the sauce until it thickens.
Ground Beef (1 lb)
Salt (to taste)
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
Garlic Powder (to taste)
. Gently place the burger patties on a grill or cast-iron skillet. Allow the burger to sear for about 2 minutes before flipping them over.
Sear the other side for another 1 minute (or longer if you prefer your burgers well done). Baste each side of the burger with the teriyaki sauce while it is still on the grill/skillet. When the burger patties are cooked, set them aside.
