Cooking Instructions

Step 1
Season the cavity of the Whole Chicken (1) , giblets removed, with Salt (to taste) and Ground Black Pepper (to taste) .
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine Butter (1/4 cup) , Onion Powder (1/2 Tbsp) , Garlic Powder (1/2 Tbsp) , and Dried Oregano (1 tsp) . Stir together until mixture forms a smooth paste.
Step 3
Stuff cavity of the chicken with Lemon (1) , Garlic (1 head) , Fresh Rosemary (3 sprigs) , and Fresh Thyme (8 sprigs) . Tie the drumsticks together with twine.
Step 4
Brush the paste all over the chicken. Adjust seasonings.
Step 5
Line the bottom of a baking pan with Onions (6 slices) . Place the chicken on top. Bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until cooked through.
Step 6
Let chicken rest for 20 minutes before cutting.
Step 7
Serve and enjoy!
