Step 1
Take a large bowl and add
All-Purpose Flour (3 cups)

Granulated Sugar (1/3 cup)

Salt (1 tsp)

Baking Powder (1 Tbsp)
and mix together. Pour
Butter (1 cup)
into the bowl.
Step 2
Take a jug and add
Heavy Cream (1 cup)
,
Large Eggs (2)
,
Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
and whisk together. Then add it into the dry ingredient and mix everything together.
Step 3
Put the dough into a floured surface and press it down. Take a biscuit cutter and cut the dough.
Step 4
Beat the
Egg (1)
and mix it with
Milk (1 Tbsp)
to make an egg wash.
Step 5
Brush the shortcake with the egg wash and bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 18 minutes.
Step 6
Meanwhile, cut
Fresh Strawberries (3 cups)
into cubes, add
Granulated Sugar (1/3 cup)
,
Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
and mix it up. Let it sit for a while.
Step 7
Take out the shortcake and cut into half, put strawberries in the center. Served with whipped cream and enjoy!
