Step 1
Start with
80/20 Lean Ground Beef (1 lb)
and mixed in
Monterey Jack Cheese (to taste)
and
Bacon (to taste)
. I turned this meat into 2 big patties and seasoned it with
All-Purpose Spice Rub (to taste)
.
Step 2
Take
Portabella Mushroom Caps (2)
and drizzle a little
Olive Oil (as needed)
on top and season with AP Seasoning. I put both the burgers and the portabella mushrooms on the hot Char-Broil Kettleman.
Step 3
After 3 minutes, I flipped the mushroom caps and added more olive oil and AP seasoning to the other side. After 3 additional minutes, I added cheese to the tops of the Portabella mushrooms and allowed it to melt on the Char-Broil Kettleman.
Step 4
After a total of 8 minutes I flipped my burger and placed the portabella mushroom on top – cheese side down.
Step 5
Once the burger has grilled for a total of 16 minutes, it is time to assemble this Grilled Portabella Burger. Start with
Hamburger Buns (2)
then add the
Mayonnaise (to taste)
,
Lettuce Leaves (2)
,
Tomatoes (2)
and top with grilled portabella burgers.
