Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line loaf pan, about 5x10-inch, with parchment paper. Melt the Unsalted Butter (1/3 cup) and allow to cool.

Whisk together All-Purpose Flour (1 1/4 cups) , Kosher Salt (1 tsp) , and Baking Powder (1 tsp) in medium bowl. Set aside. In a small bowl, stir together Ricotta Cheese (1/2 cup) and Kemps Half & Half (2 Tbsp) until smooth. Set aside.

Combine zest from Orange (1) and Granulated Sugar (1 cup) in a large mixing bowl, and using your fingers, rub the zest into the sugar.

Whisk in 1/4 cup of Orange Juice, Farmhouse Eggs® Large Brown Eggs (2) , cooled butter, and Vanilla Extract (1 tsp) .

Fold in ⅓ of the flour mixture until just combined. Then fold in ½ of ricotta mixture. Continue this (flour, ricotta, flour, ricotta, flour) mixing after each addition.

Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and place in preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes until browned and golden and toothpick when inserted comes out clean.

Remove cake from oven and let cool for about 10 to 15 minutes before turning out of pan and letting it cool completely before glazing.

To make the glaze, sift Powdered Confectioners Sugar (1 cup) into a small bowl. Add 2 1/2 Tbsp of juice from Orange (1) and whisk until smooth.

Pour glaze over cooled cake.
