Meanwhile, while the pasta is boiling, heat a large, oven-proof deep skillet over medium heat, and add
Olive Oil (1/2 Tbsp)
. Cook the
Ground Italian Sausages (1 lb)
breaking up with a spoon, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
Green Bell Pepper (1)
. Cook, stirring often, until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in the
Garlic (2 cloves)
and cook for 30 seconds longer.
Stir in the
Dried Basil (1 tsp)
Dried Oregano (1 tsp)
Salt (1/2 tsp)
Ground Black Pepper (1/4 tsp)
Crushed Tomatoes (4 cups)
Pepperoni Sausage (1/2 cup)
Scrape up browned bits at the bottom of the pan and simmer for 5 minutes. Preheat the broiler.
Stir in the half the cooked pasta and
Mozzarella Cheese (1/2 cup)
. Toss to combine then add the remaining cooked pasta. Toss gently to combine.
Sprinkle with remaining
Mozzarella Cheese (1 cup)
and pepperoni slices. Broil for 1-2 minutes or until pepperoni crisps and cheese bubbles.
