One-Pot Shrimp Scampi

This classic Italian pairing of Italian garlicky shrimp scampi over spaghetti has gotten the one-pot treatment for faster cooking and easier cleanup. Lemon zest and fresh parsley give it a bright and vibrant flavor upgrade.

Medium Raw Peeled Deveined Tail-On Shrimps , thawed

Garlic , minced

Water

White Wine

Lemon , zested, juiced, divided

Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

Butter

4 Tbsp

Chopped Fresh Parsley

Cooking Instructions

Heat the Olive Oil (2 Tbsp) in a large pan over medium-high heat. When the oil is shimmering, add the Garlic (6 cloves) and Medium Raw Peeled Deveined Tail-On Shrimps (1 bag) . Cook, covered, for 4-5 minutes, or until cooked through. Transfer the shrimp to a plate.

To the same skillet, add the Water (5 cups) , White Wine (1/2 cup) , Lemon Juice (1) , Salt (as needed) , and Spaghetti (1 box) . Simmer uncovered for 9-10 minutes, until the spaghetti is cooked to your liking.

Stir in the Butter (3 Tbsp) , lemon zest, and Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (as needed) .

When the butter is melted, add the cooked shrimp and Fresh Parsley (4 Tbsp) .

Author's Notes

Raw shrimp cooked with garlic will give you the best flavor, but if you prefer using precooked shrimp, you can. Skip Step 2 and add the Step 3 ingredients right to the pan with the softened garlic. Add the shrimp with the butter in Step 4 to heat through.
