Step 1
In a large pot of
Water (6 cups)
, add a pinch of
Salt (to taste)
and bring it to a boil.

Add
Ravioli (1 bag)
and cook according to package directions, for about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

While pasta is cooking, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan or skillet, heat
Olive Oil (1 Tbsp)
over medium-high heat. Once hot, add
Ground Beef (1 lb)

Onion (1/2)

Carrot (1)
, and
Garlic (1 clove)
. Cook until beef is browned; about 4-5 minutes.
Step 4
Add
Tomato Paste (1 Tbsp)
and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Step 5
Add
Diced Tomatoes (1 can)
, tomato sauce,
Mushrooms (1 can)
,
Italian Seasoning (1 tsp)
, and
Milk (1/4 cup)
. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with
Salt (to taste)
and
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
.
Step 6
Serve sauce over cooked ravioli with
Fresh Basil Leaves (1 Tbsp)
on top if desired.
