step 1
Start by thinly slicing the Steak (8 oz) and place in a bowl.
step 2
Season the sliced steak with Chili Powder (to taste) and Ground Black Pepper (to taste). Using your hands mix thoroughly and set aside to marinate for 15 minutes.
step 3
Peel and slice the Onion (1). Remove the core of the Green Bell Pepper (1) and slice into thin strips.
step 4
Peel and half the Plantains (2), then slice into strips.
step 5
In a pan over medium-high heat add some Vegetable Oil (as needed) and start frying the plantain slices. Once browned remove and set on a plate aside.
step 6
In the same pan used to fry the plantains, add Sesame Oil (as needed). Raise the heat to high and add in the steak strips and stir fry, moving continuously until golden brown. Once cooked season with Salt (to taste) and then remove and set aside.
step 7
After you've removed the steak strips, add the green pepper strips and stir fry for about 1 minute. Then add in the sliced onion and stir fry. Add the chopped Garlic (2 cloves), Soy Sauce (1/4 cup), and Distilled White Vinegar (1/2 Tbsp). Continue to stir.
step 8
Toss in the Cherry Tomatoes (to taste) and cooked steak strips. Mix together. Add the plantains and mix in as well.
step 9
Serve with white rice. Garnish with Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (1/2 Tbsp) and Scallions (to taste).
