Cooking Instructions
1.
Into a mixing bowl, add All-Purpose Flour (2 cups), Baking Powder (1 Tbsp), Baking Soda (as needed), Granulated Sugar (4 tsp), and Ground Nutmeg (as needed), and Salt (to taste). Whisk to combine.

Add Unsalted Butter (1/3 cup). Using a pastry blender or a fork, blend the butter in until mixture forms pea-sized crumbs.

Make a well in the center of the bowl. Add Buttermilk (3/4 cup). Fold into the dough.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (218 degrees C).

Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Press it with your hands until it comes together.
6.
Roll the dough out into a 10 by 8-inch rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
7.
Spread Butter (4 tsp) over the dough. Sprinkle Brown Sugar (1/2 cup) and Ground Cinnamon (1 Tbsp) over top and spread to coat evenly.

Roll the dough into a log. Cut into eight equal sections.
9.
Place cinnamon rolls on a 12x9-inch baking tray greased with Butter (2 Tbsp). Press down lightly to flatten.

Bake for 14 minutes.

Into a saucepan, add Unsalted Butter (1/2 cup). Once warm, add Apple (1). Cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add Ground Cinnamon (2 tsp), Cream Cheese (1/4 cup), Powdered Confectioners Sugar (3/4 cup), and Vanilla Extract (2 tsp). Cook over low-medium heat until smooth.
13.
Serve cinnamon scrolls warm with apple gravy on the side.
