Yams , drained
sliced into 1/2-inch thick chunks

Apples , sliced
cored and sliced into sixteenths
1/3 cup
Pecans , chopped
1/2 cup
Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp
Ground Cinnamon
1/4 cup

Step 1
Using a mixing bowl, toss the Apples (2) , Pecans (1/3 cup) , Brown Sugar (1/2 cup) , and Ground Cinnamon (1/2 tsp) .
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 3
Alternate layers of apples and Yams (4 1/4 cups) in a greased 1.5 quart casserole dish. For example, start on the bottom with yams and apples for the next layer.
Step 4
Place slices of Butter (1/4 cup) and Fresh Parsley (to taste) on top of the casserole. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes.
