Superfoods have the particularity to be incredibly nutritious and it can provide your body with an array of health benefits. One of my favorites is Spirulina – "Spirulina" is a type of microalgae and it’s a great natural multivitamin with a high content of protein, iron, vitamin B, chlorophyll, and antioxidants.

Green Apples

Pineapples

Lemon
, peeled

Fresh Ginger
or 1/2 teaspon Ground Ginger

Water
or Coconut Water
•
as needed
Spirulina Powder
•
to taste
Ice
(optional)
Cooking Instructions
1.
In a blender, add Green Apples (2 1/2), Pineapples (2), Lemon (1/2), Fresh Ginger (1 in), Water (1 1/4 cups), and Spirulina Powder (as needed).

Blend all ingredients until you get a smooth but semi-thick consistency.
3.
Serve with Ice (to taste) and enjoy!
Author's Notes
If you want to reduce the taste of the Spirulina powder, even more, you can always add some fresh mint leaves and 1/2 frozen banana!
