Cooking InstructionsHide images
step 1
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C), fan-forced.
step 2
In a mixing bowl, cream together Salted Butter (1/3 cup) and Powdered Confectioners Sugar (2/3 cup) until fluffy.
step 3
Grate in the zest of the mandarin orange and drizzle in 1 1/3 Tbsp Mandarin Orange (1).
step 4
Add some Orange Extract (1 tsp) followed by an Egg (1).
step 5
Once it is well combined, stir in All-Purpose Flour (1 2/3 cups) and knead until it turns into a dough.
step 6
Portion out 20 grams of dough into a separate bowl. Stir in 1/2 Tbsp of salted butter and Green Food Coloring (as needed). Transfer into a piping bag and set aside.
step 7
For the rest of the dough, dye it with some Orange Food Coloring (as needed) and knead until the color is even.
step 8
Roll them into 1/2 Tbsp balls.
step 9
Then insert a Whole Cloves (as needed) onto each ball. Pipe out the green paste you prepared earlier to mimic it like the leaves of the oranges.
step 10
Bake them in the oven for about 30 to 35 minutes at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
step 11
Let them cool before transferring to a container or serving.
