Sweet and Sour Meatballs is an easy, home made version of the classic Chinese Restaurant meal. Home made meatballs are browned and smothered in a delicious sauce featuring pineapple and capsicum. Served on a bed of rice or noodles, this dish will become a quick family favourite - give it a go!

Pork , minced
any other meat that you like
1 cup
Breadcrumbs
Fresh or Store-Bought

Small Onion , finely chopped
1
Egg , lightly beaten
2 Tbsp
Corn Starch
1 Tbsp
Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp
Distilled White Vinegar
1 Tbsp
1 tsp
Garlic , minced
1 cup

Step 1
Add Pork (1.7 lb) , Onion (1) , Breadcrumbs (1 cup) , and Egg (1) into a mixing bowl and mix it together. Take a teaspoonful of mixture and roll a ball by hands. Continue with the rest.
Step 2
Put oil into a fry pan and cook the meatballs in batches to brown the outside for about 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer them to a large casserole dish.
Step 3
Drain the juice of Canned Diced Pineapple (2 1/3 cups) into a cup. Add Corn Flour (2 Tbsp) , and stir it using a spoon. Then add Distilled White Vinegar (2 Tbsp) , Brown Sugar (1 Tbsp) , Soy Sauce (1 Tbsp) , Ketchup (1 Tbsp) , Garlic (1 tsp) , the pineapple pieces, Bell Pepper (1) , Water (1 cup) . Mix everything together.
Step 4
Pour the sauce into the casserole. Preheat the oven to 200 degree C (400 degrees F). Cook for about 30 minutes or until the meatballs are fully cooked through. Serve and enjoy!
