In a mixing bowl, add
All-Purpose Flour (2 3/4 cups)
Granulated Sugar (2 cups)
Salt (1/2 tsp)
Baking Soda (1/2 tsp)
Baking Powder (1/2 Tbsp)
. Whisk together and set aside.
In a mixing jug, add
Buttermilk (1 cup)
Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
, and zest and juice of
. Mix together.
Combine wet and dry ingredients. Mix until just incorporated. Add
Butter (1 cup)
and continue mixing until batter is smooth.
Transfer batter to a 9-inch springform pan lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out out clean.
In a mixing bowl, stir together
Powdered Confectioners Sugar (2 cups)
and juice from
until it has the consistency of a glaze.
Drizzle the lemon glaze over the cooled cake. Garnish with
Lemons (to taste)
