Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) .

Cream the
Granulated Sugar (2/3 cup)
and
Butter (1/3 cup)
. Add the
Egg (1)
and
Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
. Whisk until smooth.
Step 3
Mix the
All-Purpose Flour (3/4 cup)
,
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (1/3 cup)
,
Salt (1/4 tsp)
,
Baking Powder (1 tsp)
, and
Instant Coffee (1/2 tsp)
. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and incorporate, but don't overmix.
Step 4
Cover the cookie dough mix with plastic wrap. Chill in the fridge for 3-4 hours or overnight.
Step 5
Roll a piece of the dough into a ball, then drop it into the
Powdered Confectioners Sugar (1/3 cup)
to coat. Repeat with the rest of the dough. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
Step 6
When the cookies are finished, let them sit on the counter for 2 minutes. Press
Hershey’s Chocolate Kisses (to taste)
into the tops of each of the cookies.
