Step 1
First, make the sauteed onions. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add
Butter (1 Tbsp)
.
Step 2
Once the butter has melted add
Red Onion (1/2)
and
Onion Base (1/4 tsp)
. Season with a pinch of
Salt (to taste)
and saute for 4 minutes or until the onions have softened. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3
To make the masala cheese sauce, add
Butter (1 Tbsp)
to a pan over medium heat. Once the butter has melted add the
All-Purpose Flour (1 Tbsp)
and
Garlic Base (1/2 tsp)
. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
Step 4
Add
Garam Masala (1/2 tsp)
,
Ground Cumin (1/2 tsp)
, and
Red Chili Powder (1/4 tsp)
and stir for 30 seconds. Add
Milk (3/4 cup)
and bring to a boil. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Turn the heat down to low and stir in the
Cheddar Cheese (1 cup)
. Once the cheese has melted, remove from heat and cover.
Step 6
To assemble, toss the
French Fries (4 cups)
, with
Salt (to taste)
,
Garlic (2 cloves)
, and
Fresh Parsley (1 Tbsp)
.
Step 7
Split evenly amongst two bowls and top with the masala cheese sauce and sauteed onions. Sprinkle on some
Scallions (1 bunch)
and enjoy!
