Gabi has always enjoyed playing hostess, and when she realized that others were a little hesitant to entertain at home, she realized she could share some of her favorite tips to ease the stress, like how to build an easy cheese board, or make a simple (yet impressive!) cocktail.
During her time away from the computer, she also serves as a volunteer advisor with the Sigma Kappa Sorority and as a City Manager of the women's networking group, BOS Lady Project.
I'd have to say the weirdest (for me) was trying a chicken heart in Brazil. It's a delicacy there, and I'm up for trying almost anything -- so I went for it! To be honest, it takes like . . . chicken . . . but a smidge chewier. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but I'm glad I gave it a go. They say you only live once, right?
Waking up early to a chilly fall day, with time in the morning for iced chai and to enjoy a good book.
Tacos.
An Old-Fashioned (blood orange, to be exact).
Pizza! I could eat it endlessly.
Fly, because traveling would be so affordable and accessible!
Oh my, so many to choose from! Mexican is my favorite kind of food, so I'd have to say one of my favorites is the Lime Chicken Tacos with Tomatillo Salsa. And for cocktails? The Grapefruit Bourbon Cocktail with Basil Syrup is my favorite cocktail yet. Ready for dessert? Try the adorable Grand Marnier Truffles!
Push yourself, and know your limits. Put yourself into situations that make you a little nervous, but not uncomfortable. Say yes whenever you can, and know when to say no. Take on as many projects as you can to gain experience, without burning out. It's important to challenge yourself when starting something new!
You don’t have to wait until “Taco Tuesday” to enjoy this delicious south of the border meal. Tender chicken nestled in a warm corn tortilla makes the base for the roasted green salsa, while cumin-spiced black beans and fresh corn create a simple, fresh, and tasty side.
Not your average bourbon cocktail!
Easy to make and pretty to boot...what's not to love?
