Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease two loaf pans.
Step 2
Beat
Granulated Sugar (2 2/3 cups)
and
Vegetable Shortening (2/3 cup)
together in a bowl until fluffy.
Step 3
Stir
Butternut Squash (2 cups)
,
Eggs (4)
and
Water (2/3 cup)
in the sugar mixture.
Step 4
Mix dry ingredients together:
All-Purpose Flour (3 1/3 cups)
,
Baking Powder (1/2 Tbsp)
,
Salt (1/2 Tbsp)
,
Ground Cinnamon (1 tsp)
, and
Ground Cloves (1 tsp)
.
Step 5
Add
Chopped Pecans (2/3 cup)
and
Raisins (2/3 cup)
. Mix all ingredients together.
Step 6
Pour into prepared pans.
Step 7
Bake for about 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
Step 8
Cool before removing and then slice to serve. Enjoy!
