Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C). Prepare a 9x13 pan.
Cake Flour (2 1/3 cups)
Granulated Sugar (1 2/3 cups)
Baking Soda (1/2 Tbsp)
Salt (3/4 tsp)
Ground Cinnamon (1 tsp)
Ground Ginger (1/8 tsp)
Ground Nutmeg (1/8 tsp)
Butter (1/2 cup)
a large bowl. Beat until well combined.
Apples (4 cups)
Walnuts (1 cup)
and mix until the apples release some of their juice and the stiff mixture becomes a thick batter.
Spread the batter in the prepared pan, smooth out.
Bake the cake for 45 minutes or until testing the center with toothpick comes out clean. Remove and cool.
