Step 1
Gather (or purchase) tender wild
Violet Flower Petals (1 bunch)
from a pesticide-free environment.
Step 2
Whisk
All-Purpose Flour (1 cup)

Baking Powder (1/2 Tbsp)

Salt (1/4 tsp)
, and
Granulated Sugar (1 Tbsp)
in a medium sized mixing bowl.
Step 3
Add
Milk (1 cup)
,
Egg (1)
and
Canola Oil (2 Tbsp)
and whisk to combine.
Step 4
Arrange petals in a skillet on medium heat. Using a 1/3 cup measuring cup, drop batter on top of petals and arrange a few more petals on top. Cook until bubbles appear and flip to cook other side.
Step 5
Serve with
Pure Maple Syrup (to taste)
