In a bowl, combine
All-Purpose Flour (2 cups)
Granulated Sugar (3/4 cup)
Baking Powder (1 Tbsp)
. In another bowl, lightly beat the
Egg Yolks (2)
Whole Milk (1 1/2 cups)
Butter (1 cup)
Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
; mix well.
Stir into dry ingredients just until combined. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into batter.
Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions until golden brown.
Melt and slightly brown the
Butter (4 Tbsp)
in a frying pan.
Add some of the
Grapes (to taste)
Granulated Sugar (to taste)
. Sauté until the fruits are lightly caramelized.
Add some juice from the leftover orange pieces, and cook until slightly thickened. Then remove from heat.
Serve the waffles with the caramelized fruits and syrup of your choice.
