Cooking Instructions

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium high heat. Brown the Mild Italian Sausages (6) in the Olive Oil (1 dash) on all sides. It will take about 2-3 minutes on each side for 10-12 minutes total.
Step 2
Remove them from the pan and let them cool enough to handle. Add the Butter (2 Tbsp) to the pan and let it start to melt. Add the Onion (1) , Garlic (3 cloves) , Green Bell Pepper (1) , and Red Bell Pepper (1) and let them soften for 3-5 minutes in the butter.
Step 3
Season the mixture with the Seasoned Salt (1 tsp) , Dried Basil (1 tsp) , Dried Parsley (1 tsp) and Freshly Ground Black Pepper (1 pinch) while it cooks. Finally, pour in the Tomato Paste (2 Tbsp) , Red Wine (1/3 cup) , and Worcestershire Sauce (1 dash) .
Step 4
Meanwhile, take the sausage links and quickly slice them into rounds. They will not be cooked through at this point and that's ok. Return them to the pan and stir them into the rest of the mixture. If the pan is dry, add a little more red wine.
Step 5
Turn the heat down the low and cover the skillet. Let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes to really develop flavor and cook the sausage through. While the mixture simmers, split and toast the Steak Rolls (6) .
Step 6
Fill them with the cooked sausage, pepper and onion mixture and serve immediately! Enjoy!
