Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Step 2
In a small mixing bowl, add
Dried Fruit Mix (1 cup)
,
Brown Sugar (1/3 cup)
,
Dry Mixed Spice (1/2 tsp)
,
Ground Nutmeg (1/2 tsp)
,
Green Apple (1)
, 1 tsp of zest from
Orange (1)
, zest and juice from
Lemon (1)
,
Brandy (1 Tbsp)
, and melted
Butter (2 Tbsp)
. Mix thoroughly and set aside.
Step 3
To a food processor, add
All-Purpose Flour (2 cups)
,
Powdered Confectioners Sugar (3/4 cup)
, and chopped
Butter (1/2 cup)
. With the lid on, blend on low until the mixture resembles crumbs.
Step 4
Add in
Water (2 Tbsp)
and blitz until mixture resembles a dough. Split dough into two portions.
Step 5
On a floured surface, roll each portion out individually. Then, using a large cookie cutter, cut out 12 rounds from each pastry sheet.
Step 6
In a lightly-greased patty pan, put a round into each hole. Spoon the mince mixture into the cup and place another round on top of the cup. With a knife, make a small hole in the top of each pie.
Step 7
Beat an
Egg (1)
in a cup and brush lightly over the top of each of the pies. Sprinkle with
Granulated Sugar (to taste)
and cook for 30 minutes.
Step 8
Leave baked pies in the tin for 20 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve and enjoy!
