Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

Into a food processor, add the Butter (4.5 oz) and Caster Sugar (1/2 cup). Process until it is nice and creamy.

Proceed to add in the Vanilla Extract (1 tsp), Egg (1), All-Purpose Flour (1/2 cup), Corn Flour (3/4 cup), Baking Powder (1 tsp), and Milk (2 Tbsp). Process until it becomes a big ball of dough.

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap, and pop it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

Cut the dough into half, and put the first half into a baking tin lined with baking paper. Using the fingers, press it all over the base of the tin. Then add the Canned Fruit Cocktail (2 1/3 cups) and roll the remaining pastry on top. Sprinkle over with some caster sugar, and put it in the fridge for another half an hour.
