Step 1
In a large bowl, combine Ground Pork (1 lb) and Ground Beef (1 lb) . Add Italian Seasoning (1/2 tsp) . Mix well using a non-latex glove.
Step 2
Saute the Carrots (1 cup) , Celery (1 cup) , White Onions (1 cup) and Garlic (4 cloves) in Butter (2 Tbsp) under medium heat for about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add the meat mixture into the pan. Turn up the heat, to medium-high, and saute until meat is fully cooked.
Step 4
Transfer the veggie and meat mixture into a large pot or crockpot.
Step 5
Add the Canned Crushed Tomatoes (2 cans) , Canned Diced Tomatoes (1 can) , Tomato Paste (2 Tbsp) , Red Wine (1 cup) , Brown Sugar (3 Tbsp) , Fresh Parsley (1/4 cup) , Bay Leaves (2) , Italian Seasoning (1/2 Tbsp) and Freshly Ground Black Pepper (1 tsp) into the pot. Stir to combine.
Step 6
Let simmer for at least 4 hours, about 8 hours is best. If cooking on stovetop, stir occasionally. Cover, but leave lid slightly open. Serve and enjoy!
