Cooking Instructions
1.
Heat some Olive Oil (2 Tbsp) in a deep pan.
2.
Toss in the Onion (1/2) and sautee till it turns soft and translucent.
3.
Add the Garlic (3 cloves) and sautee it with the onions for a couple minutes.
4.
Add the finely diced Carrots (2), finely diced Celery (2 stalks) and Frozen Green Peas (3/4 cup) to the pan and mix together.
5.
Add the Ground Beef (1 lb) and let it brown on medium-high heat along with all the veggies.
6.
Once the meat is browned season the meat well with Salt (to taste) and Ground Black Pepper (to taste), Italian Seasoning (1 tsp) and Worcestershire Sauce (1 Tbsp). Stir well.
7.
Then pour in Tomato Sauce (1 cup) mix well and bring to a boil. Then put a lid on, lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes. Just before you turn off the heat, stir in some finely chopped Fresh Parsley (1 handful).
8.
Peel, cut and boil Potatoes (4) in well-salted water. Then drain them and toss them in a mixing bowl.
9.
Add the Butter (3 Tbsp), Heavy Cream (2/3 cup) to them while still hot and mash them with a potato masher. Season it with Salt (to taste) and Ground Black Pepper (to taste).
10.
Spoon the ground beef mix in the bottom of a casserole dish, or small oven proof individual serving dishes.
11.
You can then spoon or pipe the mashed potatoes over the top. If you spoon it, flatten it a little over the top and with a fork make some lines on top.
12.
Lightly brush a little Eggland's Best Classic Egg (1) wash on the ridges of the mashed potatoes.
13.
Pop it into the oven at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for around 10 to 15 minutes. Then stick them under the broiler for another 4 to 5 minutes until the mashed potato topping forms a nice golden brown crust.
14.
Garnish with a sprig of fresh parsley. Enjoy!
