It’s hard to believe that summer is once again behind us. Now it’s time to get ready for shorter days, longer nights, colder weather, vibrant auburn hues, comfy sweatshirts, and football! To be honest, we are excited to welcome fall and all our favorite foods that come along with it.

We all have all-time favorite dishes that we can enjoy all year round, but let’s be real… our bodies crave warmth and fulfillment when the chilly weather arrives. And there’re so many wonderful hearty ingredients nature delivers specifically during this season!

What are the best foods to use in your fall recipes?

Of course, there’s so much more wonderful produce around this time, but these just scream FALL.

Root vegetables: squash, pumpkin, sweet potatoes.
Fruit: apples, pears, pomegranates.
Herbs: ginger, turmeric, cinnamon.

Foods we crave in fall not only give us a nutritional punch so needed for our bodies to adjust. They also have an emotional effect on us. We can’t help but crave comfort foods more, use a bit more spice in our cooking, and look for immune-boosting foods to include in our meal plans. Because when the temperatures drop and the sun goes down earlier, not only do we want to wrap ourselves in a cozy warm blanket, but we want our meals to warm and nourish us from the inside.

We have an amazing fall recipe collection for you! There are comforting fall dinner options, amazing sweet breakfast recipes, and treats, some great healthy and hearty meals, and even a couple of boozy cocktails ideal for the fall season! You will definitely find your new favorite dish if you keep scrolling!
