Greens of the Season

It’s January and we’ve all got the post-holiday blues. We wish we could go back to a time when eating chocolate for breakfast was totally acceptable and spending the weekend just watching movies and baking was the norm! But every year, January hits us and we have to go back to caring about our waistline (or at least pretending to). Luckily, there are a ton of greens that are in season this time of year and there are an endless amount of different dishes you can try. So, head down to the market and get your hands on some veg and try some new recipes below!

Broccoli

Broccoli is a super food and has all kinds of good stuff inside that can promote a healthy waistlin, complexion and hair.

Cabbage

Cabbage is a great source of Vitamin C and can help fight off colds- perfect for winter!

Celery

You'll find celery as a staple in most diets- it's versatile and super good for you! We've also included some recipes using celeriac (celery's uglier, but just as delicious, cousin). Both are great for weight loss and improving blood pressure!

Kale

Ah kale, the green leaf that's taken over the world. You'll find it everywhere these days, but that's a good thing! It's one of the most nutrient dense foods out there and it's loaded with antioxidants. All hail the kale!

Leeks

Leeks are totally underrated. Loaded with Vitamin B and useful in protecting blood vessel linings from damage, there's no reason you shouldn't leek-it-up more often!
