Table for Two

Without a doubt, food is the primary way we all connect with each other. It’s so common, we usually forget that some of our fondest family moments happened at the dinner table, or that our best friendships blossomed over getting bites to eat together. Oftentimes, the common denominator in all those relationships that we cherish is food. Food might at first seem like a plate placed on a table between people, but it has a great way of bonding us. Get together with a family member, friend, or a special date this week and connect over these terrific dishes that are meant for pairs!

Taco Lasagna

Cooking with Tovia

This epic dinner takes two of the greatest dishes - tacos and lasagna - and combines them into one. It's easy to throw together and makes the perfect leftovers. You can even freeze it for another night when you're craving something ultra comforting.

Sweet Potato Mexican Casserole

Lemons and Basil

Colby Jack and mozzarella cut across layers on layers on layers of roasted veggies and sweet potatoes to make some Mexican-inspired, cheesy, oven-baked goodness for your Monday night. This casserole for a couple can be topped off with as many garnishes as you like, from avocado to sour cream to cilantro.

Pesto Chicken Stuffed Spaghetti Squash

Jeanie and Lulu's Kitchen

Go low-carb tonight with a spaghetti squash stuffed with pesto chicken and generous amounts of parmesan. One spaghetti squash can easily create one “boat” for each person, and is a tasty, high-protein dish for a little date night!

Herb-Stuffed Silver Fish

East After Noon

Get those healthy fats and Omega 3s in together with a herb-stuffed silverfish! One fish can easily serve two, and can be served with a side salad or bread.

"Brooklyn" Flatbread

Taking after the critically acclaimed romantic drama “Brooklyn”, this flatbread blends Irish and Italian flavours for a unique and delicious combination of tastes and textures. The saltiness of the prosciutto marries well with sweet, glazed onions, all coming together on top of a blue cheese sauce for the perfect accompaniment to a Friday night in together.
